General: SYSPRO vs Cadacus licenses
4 years 7 months ago #339
Will Cadacus licenses work with SYSPRO 6.1 SP1 and SYSPRO 7?
Yes, Cadacus licenses work with both versions.
Other than the annual new license, when must a Cadacus license be changed?
If SYSPRO user counts change or company names change, a matching Cadacus license must be generated from the updated SYSPRO license.
The main SYSPRO license, either for SQL or C-ISAM, is considered the "master", or "core" license for the main company. Cadacus licenses must have a precise match to whatever license is set for the main company in the SYSPRO license. Extra spaces, punctuation, or case mismatches matter when it comes to a precise match.
If a user is attempting to test using a company that is not included in the main SYSPRO license, like "Test Company 1" for example, then an updated license from SYSPRO that includes "Test Company 1" should be requested by the user to SYSPRO. After the user receives an updated license from SYSPRO, the user should send that updated license to Cadacus and request a matching Cadacus license.
What are the shorthand instructions for importing a Cadacus license?
Login to SYSPRO as an administrator, press Ctrl+R, run EDIREG, click "Import Cadacus SFS Licenses", browse/select the new Cadacus license file, then finish the prompts. For more detailed instructions, go here.
